  3. Hi Alex

Can you comment on Homeritz. These stock seem retest its year low level now!

Homeritz currently trade cum final dividend of 2.1sen TE, together with previous 2 set of interim dividend of 1.2sen + 1.8sen; Homeritz already payout total of 5.1sen TE. But somehow, Homeritz share keep trading down.

What wrong with these high dividend + net cash + low PE stock??

  13. hi Alex,
what do you think of asia file? fundamentally quite sound. what do you think of the stationary industry? i find it quite difficult to research this industry in terms of acquiring data. where can i get information on this industry? thanks

  14. Hi learner

Asiafile's topline peaked in June 2008 while its bottomline peaked in December 2088. Since then, the quarterly topline & bottomline have been hovering around RM60-70 million & RM10-20 million, respectively. For QE30/9/2010, net profit dropped 33% q-o-q or 9% y-o-y to RM10.6 million while turnover declined by 16% q-o-q or 9% y-o-y to RM56 million.

In term of valuation, Asiafile (closed at RM4.48 yesterday) is now trading at a PE of 11 times (based on EPS of 40 sen). This is deemed fully valued.

Chartwise, it is resting on its long-term uptrend line support of RM4.20-4.30. I guess that's the only positive aspect of this stock. After all, its financial performance has been rather unexciting & it's now trading near its full value.

  15. Hi Harry

Merry X'mas to you & your family.

DRBHCOM is suddenly deluged with positive news flow. However. its immediate horizontal resistance at RM2.00 may keep the stock in check for now. I would rate DRBHCOM a "sell into strength" for now.

  16. Hi diy

CIMBC25 took a real bashing over the past 1 month. This is due to the sharp correction in SSEC. However, it is good to note that SSEc is now resting on its 200-day SMA line at 2780 and it may stage a rebound from here. Under this scenario, I see the support for CIMBC25 at RM0.97-1.00. However, if SSEC were to break below the 2780 level, then CIMBC25 can potentially make a new low (below RM0.97).

  17. Hi 清风侠士

Coastal is in a gradual medium-term downtrend line, with resistance at RM2.40. Its parallel line "support" is at RM2.05-2.07.

This stock is suffering from investors' concern about the quality of its inventory. Its modus operandi of producing vessels for stocks [instead of producing against firm orders] resulted in higher inventory of finished goods (or vessels). The justification for this is a longer or uninterrupted production run which results in lower cost & higher profit margin. For the last 4 quarters ended 30/9/2010, Coastal's EPS was 55 sen. At RM2.16, Coastal is trading at a PE of 3.9 times. That's very attractive. Unless there is skeletons hidden within its books, I think Coastal is a strong BUY.

  18. Hi hng

Your comments on Homeritz are accurate. To reiterate, there are:

    1) It is trading near the strong horizontal support of RM0.45 (with intra-day low of RM0.395).
    2) For FY2010, it recorded a EPS of 12 sen.
    3) It paid out a dividend of 5.1 sen.

If you studied the Balance Sheet as at 31/8/2010, you would see that the company is financially healthy with current ratio at 4.4 times & low debts to equity of 0.06 time.

Based on the above, Homeritz is a good BUY.

PS. I do not know why the share price languish at the present level.

  19. Homeritz does look good on paper. However, after some nasty experiences with IPOs this year, I have set a rule against investing in any company that has been listed less then 2 years on the exchange. You never know whether the owners have finished cashing out or not!
